Up for sale is a 1983 100. Anniversary Orient Express four car HO scale train set by Trix. The set contains a steam engine & tender, 23790 CIWL Baggage Car, 23791 CIWL Sleeper Car and 23792 Dining Car. The set comes in a nice presentation wooden box. The original instruction booklet, quality control slip and Model Power sticker. I don’t think the sticker will still stick. This train set is in excellent as new condition. It was actually in sealed condition but to be on the safe side I have opened it and tested the engine. It ran fine but could obviously use some lubricating oil when put in normal operation. A rare 1983 find, especially when mint condition is factored in! The wooden presentation box is in very good condition. Showing minor storage wear on the edges. The discolouration on the inside of the box under where the cars sit I believe is straight from production (see last picture). Please check all pictures for best idea of condition and use them to determine overall quality. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to message me.

LIONEL 6-21786 100th ANNIVERSARY SANTA FE F-3 ABBA & 7-CAR PASSENGER CAR SET WITH TMCC AND RAILSOUNDS NIB. This set has never been opened. However, I have included a few stock pictures of the set from the internet. At the time of its production, this Santa Fe Warbonnet colors passenger set was unlike any passenger set Lionel had ever produced, in terms of the number of cars and the new features of the set. One significant upgrade was migrating from the traditional silhouette figures in the windows to much more realistic actual interiors and figures in the passenger cars. The set contains 4 engines – a powered A unit with dual Pullmor motors, a powered B unit with dual Pullmor motors, a dummy A unit and a dummy B unit. The engines have TMCC and RailSounds. The set also contains 7 passenger cars – a Baggage car, a Combination car, 3 full Vista Dome cars, a Dining car with StationSounds and an Observation car. A full description of the features of this set is contained below. I would rate the engines and passenger cars as C-9 and their boxes as P-9 under the TCA Grading Standards. Please make sure to appropriately oil and grease the powered A and B units before running them, as they have been in their Lionel boxes for many years.
