The diaphragm on the observation car is a little loose, but it should be an easy fix. The cars that have lights have capacitors and the capacitors work very well. The Great Northern began upgrading the train in 1951 and started adding dome cars in 1955. While the ranch cars, diners and sleeping quarters were all first rate, the views offered by the domes were the trains’ main attraction. Lionel is proud to introduce one of our mostrequested passenger trains. Representing the consist in 1955, our train is complete with RPO, coach, diner, Pullman, observation and of course, domes!
