MTH RAILKING WP WESTERN PACIFIC HERITAGE 70′ STREAMLINE COACH CARS (2)-NEVER OPENED. NEW – in boxes with shipper. This listing is for a set of two Heritage streamline coach cars. Cars are individually boxed and are in the shipper and the cars have never been opened still have original wrapping paper around boxes. The main photo is a stock photo from MTH website so you can see what they look like (rest of photos are of actual item). 2-car set features two coach cars. Intricately detailed ABS bodies. Metal wheels & axles. Ten hand-painted figures in each coach car. Operating die-cast metal couplers. Fast angle wheel sets. 1:48 scale dimensions. Each car measures 19″ x 2-7/16″ x 3-1/2. Operates on O-42 curves. These are photos of the actual item you will receive (I try to take clear photos of all angles and bottoms). What you see in photos is what you will receive. The Empire State Express was part of the New York Central? S Great Steel Fleet, the name given to the railroad? S group of all-steel modernized cars. The inaugural run of the Empire State passenger train took place on Dec. 7, 1941, the same day Pearl Harbor was attacked. Despite this unlucky beginning, the Empire State became known for its luxurious accommodations and service. The train’s cars were dubbed’dreamliners,’ a play on streamliners, to emphasize the upscale mode of travel. All the cars of the Empire State were named for NY State Governors, with the exception of six coaches built with numbers only on their lower boards. The steel cars of the Empire State remained in service until the end of the NYC railroad in the late 1960s. The shiny silver cars reproduce the Great Steel Fleet in extruded aluminum. These scale cars feature StreamLighting overhead interior lighting, detailed interiors and loads of prototypical details railroaders have come to expect on passenger cars. Available in a 6-PAC with a 4-PAC add-on, this train is the right length for scale operators. These cars are also available in 15-inches for those with smaller layouts.
