For the hobbyist of early steam trains, this is a special treat to add to your collection. 1860’s to 1880’s 3-Car Passenger Train – (Baggage, Combine and Day Coaches). These cars are Professional Hand Built from LA BELLE kits consisting of wood and metal parts. The models are very rare and exquisitely fabricated. These kits take many hours to build. Models are clean with no noticeable glue marks. Few persons have the patience, time, and skill to make these wood models today. This set is comprised (3) 50′ open platform style passenger cars of the 1880, s Era of railroading in the United States. There is a Baggage Car, Combine Car and Day Coach. These wood cars are unpainted showing the natural wood grain. They can be painted or finished in clear lacquer to enhance the beauty of the wood. All cars are fitted with cast brass wheel trucks of high quality with real functioning springs. All cars have’Kadee’ knuckle couplers. There is nice under body metal truss rods and other mechanical features. All roofs are removable and fit snugly to the car bodies. There is clear plastic glazing in the windows and green tinted plastic installed in the roof clerestory. All cars have interior incandescent lights powered from the wheel trucks. Custom interiors, people and new lighting can be easily installed as desired. Cars come with the original boxes. Items will be packaged with protective cushioning in sturdy box to prevent damage during transit.
