Kato 106-083 N Santa Fe Super Chief 8-Car Passenger Set (2019 Release). Brand New in Factory Packaging. In Stock Ships Within 24hrs. In 1935 the Santa Fe inaugurated its premier first class sleeping car only train the “Super Chief”. The “Super Chief”, often referred to as “The Train of the Stars”, was frequently patronized by Hollywood stars because of its fine accommodations, fine dinning and fast 39 hr 45 min trip between Chicago and Los Angeles through the rich scenery of the American Southwest. Setting a new standard for luxury rail travel, it quickly became the most recognized train in the United States with its sleek silver and red warbonnet painted F units in the lead. All cars are fully details and ready to roll with low flange wheels, KATO magnetic knuckle couplers and shock absorber construction. Tail sign and marker lights are illuminated, and all cars can be upgraded with 11-211/212 interior Lighting LED kits. This 2019 release of the Super Chief 8-Car Set includes the following cars. I believe they are from the 1988 reproduction set 51000. No original boxes or instructions. Lights in the cars and the engine. Conventional Transformer Controlled Forward-Neutral-Reverse. Runs on O-72 curves. The loco runs fairly well in F-N-R. There is a lock-off switch/lever on top. It sounded on cue. All the car lights work fine, too. The set looks EX with some minor scratches on the underside of the cars. There are some rubs on top of the vestibules where they turn and rub the car. I would say the tender and 3 cars are original paint; however, I was going to question the engine. There are multiple locations where it looks like light pitting has been painted over (see PIC close-ups of the roofs); but, it is NOT A REPAINT. Another issue is the engine and tender drawbar is missing and the tender sounds like it has a loose screw rattling around inside. In new boxed condition Marklin z 88957/87041 KPEV Train Set. One Time Only series 2017 for the Marklin Dealers Initiative. Locomotive used in Berlin suburban service, looks as it did around 1915. Royal Prussian Railway Company (KPEV) class T 12 Steam Tank Locomotive. All3 driving axles powered, finely detailed rods and valve gear, imitation brakes, sand pipes. And rail clearance devices. Warm white LED headlights. Loco has a destination sign on the front. Large buffer plates, standard coupler at front and back of loco, finely detailed lettering and paintwork. Length over buffers 55mm.
