Lionel 6-8801 Blue Comet 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive Set W / 6 Passenger Cars, This set is in amazing shape with all original boxes in C-8 to C-9 condition. The engine is in amazing shape, the blue paint really POPS with color, has almost no run time, was bench tested and it smoked great and the tender speaker worked and so did the whistle. There is a small rub mark on the engine shell that must have happened from the factory, which can be seen in the last picture. All the passenger cars are also in amazing shape with amazing paint and little to no run time on all the passenger cars. All the boxes have some form of shelf ware from sitting around for over 40 years, all the box flaps are intact and the engine box has a tear on one flap that has been retaped. Please see picture for more details as this is an amazing set that would be a great addition to anyone’s collection.
