HO Rivarossi NMRA Pacific 4-6-2 Steam Locomotive Set with 4 Passenger Car New OS. This listing is for a new old stock. HO gauge Rivarossi set celebrating NMRA National Model Railroad Association. The set consists of a 4-6-2 Pacific steam locomotive and 4 passenger cars. I have tested the locomotive and it runs smoothly in both forward and reverse and is lighted. The 4 passenger cars all have full interiors. The boxes for the cars are very interesting. Three of the boxes are brown and stamped with the cars that are inside. They are actually Rivarossi boxes that the NMRA turned inside out and stamped with the contents. The steam locomotive comes in it’s original Rivarossi box. The cars are: Baggage Post Office Car “Lookout Mountain” Dining Car “James J Andrews” Pullman Coach (Rivarossi Box) “Missionary Ridge” Observation Tail Car. The set is in excellent condition. The “Jouef HO 4-6-2″ refers to a specific line of HO scale model steam locomotives manufactured by the French company Jouef, which feature a 4-6-2-wheel arrangement. The 4-6-2-wheel arrangement is commonly known as the “Pacific” type. Jouef produced several models of these locomotives, primarily representing French SNCF (Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français) and former Nord railway company engines. Scale: HO Gauge (1:87 scale), a popular model railroading scale. Wheel Arrangement: 4-6-2, which translates to. 4 leading (pilot) wheels at the front. 6 coupled driving wheels in the middle. 2 trailing wheels at the rear. This listing includes the following. 1540, green train engine & coal car 4-6-2. 2692-0, passenger car (Capital Home). 2693-0, passenger car (Lincoln Memorial). 2694-0, passenger car (Molly Stark). 2695-0, passenger car (National View). The trains have never been used on a track. He never built the track and this set and many other remained more or less new and unused. The exterior of the boxes has just a little wear, but nothing severe.
