At the time of its production, this Santa Fe Warbonnet colors passenger set was unlike any passenger set Lionel had ever produced, in terms of the number of cars and the new features of the set. One significant upgrade was migrating from the traditional silhouette figures in the windows to much more realistic actual interiors and figures in the passenger cars. The set contains 4 engines – a powered A unit with dual Pullmor motors, a powered B unit with dual Pullmor motors, a dummy A unit and a dummy B unit. The engines have TMCC and RailSounds. The set also contains 7 passenger cars – a Baggage car, a Combination car, 3 full Vista Dome cars, a Dining car with StationSounds and an Observation car.
