The’Powhatan Arrow’ was the finest train of the mighty Norfolk and Western Railroad. Running between Cincinnati, Ohio, and Norfolk, VA, this train was fast! Often pulled for most of the trains career by the N&W J class 4-8-4. This set makes an awesome addition to your brass collection. Cars come complete with full interior detail. Brass HO Canadian Pacific Railway Kettle Valley Passenger 5-Car set original box. Great addition to your brass collection. Circa 1968 (not verified). Passenger car named’Field. Expertly painted and numbered to high standard. “Central Valley” Trucks and Wheels – Prototypical with Real Springs. “Kadee” Knuckle Couplers Installed, all intact and working. Little sign of wear, please review pictures and video which forms part of description. There are few signs of nicks to the underside of cafe parlour car. Few signs on black fine pipes and handle bars where brass shows through. (See pics for examples). I judge the coaches/cars in very good condition. The box stamped’United Scale Models’ is in poor condition as is the foam housing. I believe this to be original. The coaches/cars are wrapped in clear packaging and located in the foam. Each chassis stamped Japan Fujiyama. Co-Co long coaches x 2. Bo-Bo short coaches & first class passenger carriage. The loco in the video is NOT included in the sale. The curve shown in the video is a radius 4. The track is 4m Peco OO/HO gauge. These were woodsided Passenger Cars with clerestory roofs built in the early 1900’s. FACTORY PAINTED – HEAVYWEIGHT EMPIRE BUILDER 8-CAR TRAIN. Great set with fantastic detail. Models have window glazing & interior detail. Ighting except for the Baggage Car. Observation has a working tail light. The fine detail is extraordinary. Take a look at the undercarriage pictures. (in good condition with creasing). (in very good condition). Catalogue #: 2308.1A. Set 1-A contains the following cars. Dormitory-Coach-Smoker Lounge Car #648. 58-Seat Luxury Coach #945. Tourist 16-Section Sleeping Car #4285. Catalogue #: 2308.1B. Set 1-B contains the following cars. Pullman 36-Guest Dining Car “New York”. 6-Section, 6-Double Bedroom Sleeping Car “Alexander Griggs”. 8-2-1 Sleeping Car “General Sheridan”. Buffet-Lounge-Solarium-Observation Car James J. The couplers are included in a sealed bag, but have not been attached as the black metal protectors at the end of each car/coach are still in place. I tested the 8 cars on a 4.5m straight section of Peco HO/OO track being pushed by a loco (not included in sale). The video shows the James J Hill car being pushed showing the illuminated front lamp and illuminated carriage. As far as I can judge, I believe that these cars/coaches had not been run as the protective metal end caps are still in place by screw. They look to be in near mint condition. The only damage I can see if that one of the banquet seats has been dislodged see picture. Hill car indicated by pointer. I cannot see any other damage, missing components or scratches. These have been very well preserved in original packaging including original tissue. Particularly complex, fine-detailed hand made brass models. NEW in original box, box has some shelf wear. Contents: 5 filigree cars of King Ludwig’s royal train manufactured exclusively in centrifugally cast brass. Set consists of kitchen car, servant’s car, observation car and 2 different salon cars. All cars with spoked wheels. High quality hand work. Compliments 8870 “King Ludwig” locomotive. These cars are the result of a joint project with the Railex Company.
