Up for sale is a 1983 100. Anniversary Orient Express four car HO scale train set by Trix. The set contains a steam engine & tender, 23790 CIWL Baggage Car, 23791 CIWL Sleeper Car and 23792 Dining Car. The set comes in a nice presentation wooden box. The original instruction booklet, quality control slip and Model Power sticker. I don’t think the sticker will still stick. This train set is in excellent as new condition. It was actually in sealed condition but to be on the safe side I have opened it and tested the engine. It ran fine but could obviously use some lubricating oil when put in normal operation. A rare 1983 find, especially when mint condition is factored in! The wooden presentation box is in very good condition. Showing minor storage wear on the edges. The discolouration on the inside of the box under where the cars sit I believe is straight from production (see last picture).
