KATO 10-1273 Rhaetian Bahn ABe8 / 12 (Alegra) 3Cars Set Via DHL From Japan
Thank you for visiting our store. Please check the photos for details. This is the second in a series of foreign rolling stock from Japan. The narrow gauge (1m gauge) train, called “Meter Gauge”, is now available in N gauge (1/150). This small-radius car can pass through the Uni-Track Compact R150. The train is designed to run on a branch line surface track and pull up to 8 passenger cars. The train is compatible with 11kv16 2/3Hz AC on the main line and 1000v DC on the Bernina line, and is accurately reproduced with multiple pantographs and other features to accommodate the two power sources. The lightweight body shape is accurately reproduced, despite the high power output of the train. The first train, named after Willem Jan Holsboer, the founder of the Rhaetian Railway, is reproduced. The emblem on the front of the train and the various notations on the car body are pre-printed. The front sign is R St. Head and tail lights are illuminated. Jumper plugs on the front end of the train are separate parts for a realistic appearance. Short coupler for Glacier Express is equipped as standard. Short couplers are included for connecting to the front section, and can be exchanged to pull Glacier Express coaches. Two short couplers for the Glacier Express and two coupling holos for the short couplers are included with this “Allegra” product, which are used on the passenger cars when coupling the Glacier Express. The package is a 4-car paper box (best selection type) with foam padding. AZL 73X49-2 Z Union Pacific City of San Francisco 11-Car Passenger Car SET NEW
Union Pacific 11-Car Passenger Set. “City of San Francisco” Name Train. Beginning in 1936, the Union Pacific began operations of the “City of San Francisco” passenger train. The train operated between Chicago, IL and Oakland, CA on the Overland Route. A ferry connection completed the service to San Francisco. The C&NW, Milwaukee Road, and Southern Pacific were co-owners in the train and contributed rolling stock to the roster. Starting in 1938, the lightweight passenger cars were introduced. Typical trains were 17 cars in length and could accommodate 222 passenger. These lightweight cars are represented in AZL’s set. The sets were powered by EMD locomotives and were cable of a speed of 110mph. This would allow the “City of San Francisco” to make the trip in 39 ½ hours. This included 37 stops for the westbound trains and 38 stops on the eastbound trains. The “City of San Francisco” would continue operations until 1972 when Amtrak took over all long distance passenger route.
