PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING. There’s a lot here to explain :. This was given to employees in 2001. I really hate to part with this one, but I’ve never taken it out of the box except to take photos and test it. As seen in the video, everything works. The engines do NOT have sound effects such as a horn or bell like MTH or modern Lionel. Oddly enough, ALL engine trucks are powered and the engines can be MU-ed together. That means ALL eight axles of the two engines are powered. That seems to be a rarity these days. The lead engine (4020) does have an “E” unit for changing directions; the trail engine (4021) does not. This set is for O-Gauge with curves as tight as O-27 and AC current. The test track has O-31 curves. This set comes with E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G it left with from the factory: The yellow ConRail cards explaining the history of the engines and the four cars; instruction sheets for the engines (2), instruction sheets for the passenger cars (4); extra window inserts for EACH car, the rubber doorway diaphrams for each ends of the cars AND the rear ends of each engine (I didn’t feel like putting them on for the photos, but they are there); and extra light bulbs for each passenger car (2 per car). I will include two postcards of the actual ConRail office train before it went to CSX as part of the ConRail break-up in 1998-ish. Small piece of trivia, the ConRail OCS was rated for the Amtrak Northeast corridor – 120 MPH. I picked this up at an estate sale and had it out of the box only for photos and testing. Judging by the wear on the wheels, the engines were used more than the passenger cars by the previous owner. I would judge the engines C-8 / high C-7 due to the wheel wear. The passenger cars are C-8. Check out the wheel photos and please judge for yourself. The main box is starting to show some wear. The individual boxes are in good shape. To be quite honest, I don’t know what this is worth. As I said before, I really don’t want to part with it, but it’s time to down-size my collection. This is a rare set that was only given to ConRail employees in 2001. I’m going to swing for the fences, but in reality. What’s the worst that can happen??? This is a sweet passenger set. I apologize for this, but apparently it needs done. Thank you to those that have informed me of this :. I will be listing more of my collection in the coming weeks. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS. I will try to answer them as best as I can. Please contact me BEFORE purchasing if you reside outside of the Continental United States. Contact me if you’re interested. All sales are final.
